NS Applies to Continue International Train Service After 2025 with Paris, London, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Vienna Routes

Of NS has submitted an application to regulator ACM to continue running international trains after 2025. That was necessary, because anyone who wants to run trains to Paris or London after that year, for example, had to let us know before today.

Earlier, Arriva, Qbuzz and FlixTrain, from the same company as FlixBus, had already reported. The cabinet is still considering whether the provision of international train transport will be left to the market, or whether this will also be laid down in permanent contracts.

To this end, it must first be investigated whether there is interest from other parties in running the trains. New candidates could report to the supervisor. To be on the safe side, NS has therefore registered before the deadline to continue offering train journeys to London, Frankfurt, Berlin, Vienna and Paris.

These are destinations to which NS already offers train journeys together with partners such as Thalys or Eurostar.
