Nothing Phone 2: The New Flagship Smartphone from Nothing

The Nothing Phone 2 topped social networking sites over the past few hours.

As none is preparing to take its next bold step in the smartphone market. The company will introduce the Nothing Phone (2) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the company’s first full-fledged flagship.

Nothing has confirmed its upcoming phone launch on July 11th. We still have two weeks before the launch event, but the Indian Flipkart seems to be ready to start the pre-order period for the upcoming smartphones.

Flipkart calls these “pre-orders” but this is mostly a “pre-booking” system for the upcoming smartphone. In other words, the Indian e-commerce platform allows users to reserve their phones. You pay INR 2,000 ($24) (which is fully refundable if you surrender later), to “secure the order.”

Then you return to the website from July 11th at 9pm local time to July 20th at 11:59pm local time to choose your replacement, pay the remaining balance and claim exclusive pre-order prizes. We assume Flipkart is anticipating huge demand for the phone, so this ‘pre-order’ system makes sense. This is clearly a partnership between nothing and the platform.

The first open sale date is scheduled to start on July 21, when the pre-order period ends. The exact price of Nothing Phone (2) has not been revealed. Since we are about to enter the month of July, we expect nothing to do to ramp up its teaser campaign with more details about the phone. Apart from Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

The phone will come with a new transparent USB Type C cable, it will have a transparent design, and it will bring back the Glyph LEDs. Nothing Phone (2) will also debut Nothing OS 2.0 which promises to be the company’s biggest software update ever. We expect more details to emerge in the coming weeks.
