Profesor di National University of Singapore (NUS), Kishore Mahbubani, claiming nothing to disprove his view that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is the most effective president in the world today.
Mahbubani made this claim through an article entitled ‘The Genius of Jokowi’ which was released by Project Syndicate. He added that Jokowi’s extraordinary leadership gave Indonesia the opportunity to host the G20 Summit.
Mahbubani believes that Indonesia has a culture of deliberation and consensus so that it can take the international activities of the G20 Summit to a higher level.
“I believe, if there is one country that can take the G20 to a higher level, Indonesia is one of them,” said Mahbubani.
“If Indonesia can spread a culture of deliberation and consensus, it will change the world, not only Indonesia,” he added.
Mahbubani was in the public spotlight after considering Jokowi as a genius state leader.
He even thinks that other countries should be jealous of Indonesia because it has a leader like Jokowi who is able to reduce political divisions and reduce the high social inequality in Indonesia.
