Martin Bojanov – The notary has interacted with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a long time. This was stated by forensic scientist Ivan Savov in the program “Bulgaria, Europe and the world in focus” on Radio “Focus”.
According to him, in the specific situation, quick conclusions and answers should be given regarding how many years this person had dealings with the law enforcement agencies and what exactly those dealings were: “Because there is actually a lot of dirt around him. We all criticize journalists and sometimes, unfortunately, rightly so, but in this particular case, the journalistic investigations that were carried out simply publicize information that was already known to the services anyway for official use,” noted Savov.
The criminologist shared that he himself had official contact years ago with Martin Bizhanov and his group. When Savov was asked what made an impression on him then, he answered:
“I was impressed by the complete sense of impunity of this man and the feeling that he was a kind of, as he himself claimed during his lifetime, a consultant and a mediator, a man who does nothing illegal and nothing bad. And in fact, for me then that it was another case of an intercepted, thank God, property crime. But I say again, I was just one of many officers, in this case I was inspecting the scene of the accident. And what he did with other people – I have no idea. Even if I guess, I wouldn’t say it in front of the media and I wouldn’t comment on it, but the truth is that this person interacted with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a long time – whether as the subject of various pre-trial proceedings, as I said, I know of four such, or in other ways. That’s why in my opinion, if the biography of this person is to be fully investigated, these circumstances must also be unraveled, so to speak,” added Ivan Savov.
