Not happy with headlines: Amber Heard dismisses communications team in the middle of Johnny Depp trial

The United States has been under the spell of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard for several weeks. The case started with a 2018 opinion article by Heard in The Washington Post newspaper. In it she wrote that she has been a victim of domestic violence. Although she didn’t mention her ex-partner Johnny Depp by name, he did feel targeted. He went to court, whereupon Heard filed a peppered counter-claim.

The consequence? A highly mediated process, which is broadcast live, where Depp and Heard are also present.
