“North Korea launches three short-range missiles towards the sea.” NOW

North Korea launched three short-range missiles toward the sea on Monday, said the head of the South Korean army.

The rockets flew at a height of fifty kilometers and two hundred kilometers far. They were fired from the eastern coastal town of Sondok, which also has the military airport from where North Korea previously fired rockets.

Last week, North Korea launched two short-range missiles to the Japanese Sea. It would have been a military exercise under the watchful eye of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Before that, North Korea had not conducted rocket exercises for three months.

Great Britain, Germany, France, Estonia and Belgium announced Thursday’s rocket exercises during the United Nations Security Council. They called the exercise a provocative action that goes against UN resolutions.

According to the North Korean state broadcaster, the exercises should not be seen as a threat to other countries.
