Nordic Telecom has merged with seven other ISPs

As of November 1, Alcom Systems, Leháro.NET (Biteo), CMS Internet, Fifejdy.cz, Fortech, Omega Tech and Tišice.Net merged into Nordic Telecom. The group thus expanded its operations in the Ostrava, Beroun, Mělník and Svitavy regions, as well as in the vicinity of Litomyšl and Lanškroun.

“Our strategic plan is to merge all acquisitions into a single company that will provide services to end and corporate customers under the Nordic Telecom brand throughout the country,” said Petr Škop, Commercial Director of Nordic Telecom.

The merger is a continuation of the gradual consolidation of the market in the field of Internet provision in the regions. Through acquisitions, the company integrates local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the Czech Republic and Moravia.

Nordic Telecom is now one of the five largest domestic providers of fixed internet connection. In June this year, it announced the commissioning of the jubilee, 1000th transmitter in the licensed 3.7 GHz band. In addition, thanks to last year’s auction, it holds frequencies in the 3.5 GHz band. In the last four years, the company has invested hundreds of millions of crowns a year in frequency licenses and infrastructure.

In addition to wireless internet connection via LTE technology, it also offers connections on optical and Wi-Fi networks or via VDSL technology in selected locations, and gradually plans to offer mobile services at the national level. The company’s services are used by more than 110,000 customers.
