Norah Carpentier’s biological father plagued by grief and regret

Norah Carpentier’s biological father, the oldest two sisters who were found lifeless at Saint-Apollinaire on Saturday is inconsolable. In addition to overcoming the painful loss of his daughter, Jean-Philippe Vallières will have to resolve to the idea that he will never have the chance to know her better, he who has seen Norah only twice since his birth.

I might have hoped one day to find her older or to know her when she was ready […] I have a hard time achieving. It represents that it is finished. I will never know her again, confides the bereaved father in an interview with Radio-Canada.

Important personal problems prevented Jean-Philippe from having a more important place in the life of his daughter. The man briefly dated Amélie Lemieux, the mother of Norah and her sister, Romy, a dozen years ago.

When the young woman told him that she was pregnant, Jean-Philippe fled.

I was too young. I had problems, I had consumption problems […] I was afraid, he admits.

I have always loved her

Even if he was not present in Norah’s life, Jean-Philippe assures that he has always had in [son] coeur.

I just want to tell her that I love her, that I have always loved her. If she hears me, forgive me for not forgetting me [être] busy.

The biological father of the missing young person says that he did not want to take steps to assert his rights with her.

Everyone told me that I had no recourse. I didn’t mean to break up the family , he explains.

The last meeting between Jean-Philippe and Norah was two years ago.
