Antonio Banderas made statements weeks before the celebration and said that « we want to be very aware that we must comply with all protocols, not only for the protection of the people who are going to attend the gala (…) but to send a message to all those groups that are facing this fight ”.

This 35th edition of the Goya, Considered the Oscars of Spanish cinema, the film Adu arrives as a great favorite, a film that articulates three parallel stories to make an x-ray of the drama of African emigration to Europe.
The film signed by Salvador Calvo, with a choral cast that includes Luis Tosar, Anna Castillo and Álvaro Cervantes, has thirteen nominations, among them for best film, direction, original screenplay and best supporting actor.
