Pforzheim / Enzkreis / Calw district. Because there is usually less testing at the weekend, experience has shown that the number of new corona infections is lower than during the week. On this Sunday, however, the State Health Office (LGA) did not provide any data from Pforzheim and the Enzkreis. That and the few new infections from Saturday now mean that the gold city has the lowest incidence in all of Baden-Württemberg.
In the meantime, the 7-day incidence rose slightly in the Calw district. There the value is now 87.9 with 17 new infections. In the Enzkreis the incidence fell to 67.1 due to the lack of reporting of new infections, in Pforzheim to 58.0. When the phenomenon of missing data from the region had already occurred at the LGA at the end of January, District Office spokesman Jürger Hörstmann had stated that there could be two reasons: Either there were actually no new cases or no data was transmitted. The latter also seems to have been the case on this Sunday. However, comparatively few new infections were reported the day before: In the Enzkreis there were nine, in Pforzheim only two.
The 7-day incidence is calculated despite the lack of data, as the LGA recently assured PZ-news. The value is calculated from the infections that have been reported to the local health authorities within the past seven days, for example by doctors or laboratories – and not from the cases that were sent by these offices to the LGA by the end of the data. There is an effect on the 7-day incidence if there is no report from the local authorities, but it is usually small.
