No Need to Change the Gojek Application When you go to Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam

KOMPAS.com – Gojek has expanded to several countries in Southeast Asia under different names, such as GoViet in Vietnam and GET on Thailand.

Starting August 17, 2020, on the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, these names will change to one name, namely Gojek as in Indonesia.

That means, all Gojek operational countries in Southeast Asia apart from Indonesia, namely Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand, officially use the name Gojek.

Once integrated, it only takes one Gojek application that can be accessed in these countries. Previously, Gojek users had to download a different application according to the country’s domicile.

Thus, if Indonesian users travel to these countries, they can directly use the Gojek application which is commonly used in Indonesia, even though they are in Vietnam, Thailand, or Singapore.

“The flying of the name Gojek in four countries to coincide with the commemoration of the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, is increasingly a validation of the competitiveness of the nation’s work in the international arena,” said Gojek Co-CEO Andre Soelistyo in an official statement.

Like in Indonesia, Andre said, Gojek also strives to create positive social impacts through building community resources, creating opportunities to earn additional income, and empowering MSMEs in other countries.

“These three elements are our foundation in innovating to create solutions to problems that exist in everyday life,” added Andre.

In Vietnam, Gojek claims GoFood services are growing rapidly. In 2019, GoViet, which has now turned into Gojek, was included in the list of 100 most reliable service products in Vietnam according to the Vietnam Economic Times.

Likewise in Thailand, GET is said to be the fastest growing food delivery platform in Thailand. Meanwhile in Singapore, Gojek has just presented GoCar and boasts that its growth is also increasing.

“The integration of the Gojek platform in these four countries also represents the enthusiasm and dedication of millions of partners, who bring the name of the nation to the international arena,” said Gojek Co-CEO Kevin Aluwi.

Not only from the user side, the application is for partners driver also integrated into GoPartner. This application will facilitate partner activity driver in working with some of the feature updates that will become available.
