The charger that you normally get with your brand new iPhone is therefore banned by Apple. According to Kuo Apple will tell that they left out the charger for environmental benefits, but the real reason is that they don’t want the iPhone even more expensive.
Due to the addition of 5G in the iPhone 12 devices, Apple is slightly more expensive than usual. The price of the iPhone 12 is perfect right now (people are buying enough of it) and better not get any more expensive, that’s why they save by leaving out the charger and EarPods.
Criticism
At the moment the charger that you get with the iPhone 12 is only 5 Watt, something that is actually no longer okay in the current smartphoneklimaat where fast charging is standard. Apple therefore stops producing that 5W (and also the 18W) charger, so you can only buy the 20W charger optionally.

But how much money will such a 20W charger cost? Quite a bit of money … The 18W charger currently costs 35 euros on the Apple website, so you do not have the USB-C to Lightning cable of 25 euros.
