No line through new Feyenoord stadium yet | Football

sport">The ongoing project has ‘stalled’, the club said in a statement. “Feyenoord will use the situation that has now arisen to subject all aspects of the Stadium project to a thorough analysis. In addition to developments in the construction and raw materials markets, the legal structure and financing structure, design, as well as possible alternatives for the new stadium will also be (re)examined,” the club said.

sport">This will take more time than the council wishes. “Feyenoord thinks it will need until the summer of 2022 for that.”

sport">The Municipal Executive of Rotterdam first wants to find out what consequences the decision will have before making a judgment. “Given the importance of the Feyenoord City area development, we do not want to draw any hasty conclusions from the message from Feyenoord. We will enter into discussions with the parties involved to discuss the consequences of this decision.”
