No ‘Blindly married’ this spring: VTM still looking for candidates

Some 4,500 singles signed up for the seventh season of ‘Blind Married’ since April 2021, and yet the shooting has not started. We want to offer our experts even more opportunities to find ideal matches. The new season may not be until the fall.

A little ‘Blind Married’ fan was already starting to worry. The last five seasons always started at the end of January or at the latest at the beginning of February. This year there wasn’t even any news about the new season, until now. Unfortunately, that’s bad news.

The good news is that singles can still sign up to marry a total stranger. PIT, the internal production house of VTM that makes the program, says it does not focus on special target groups, but diversity remains a tricky theme. “It is even more difficult for specific target groups to find an ideal match.”

The fact that singles must be childless or their children older than 18 also limits the choice.

Success Formula

The channel uses numbers to convince singles to register. The program has delivered seven steadfast marriages after six seasons, which is about 25 percent of the matches.

“Whoever is tired of Tinder has a much better chance of being married to Blind. I don’t know anyone who is on Tinder and can go for the perfect marriage after four swipes. That opportunity does exist with this program.”

You can register for Blind Married via vtm.be.
