No 60FPS on PS5 & Xbox Series X?

A few days ago, Ubisoft finally let the proverbial cat out of the bag and officially announced the development of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”.

The latest offshoot of the long-life series will appear for the two next-generation consoles Xbox Series and PS5, among others. If you should have been looking forward to a display in 60 frames per second on the two new generation consoles, you might want to lower your expectations a bit. As the developers at Ubisoft admitted, 60FPS support cannot be guaranteed.

30 frames a second on the next-gen?

Although the corresponding statement was only about the Xbox Series X version of “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla”, we can confidently assume that the statements also apply to the PS5 version of the Assassin’s adventure. As it is said, Ubisoft cannot currently guarantee that “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will offer 60FPS on the Xbox Series X – even if there will of course be corresponding optimizations until the release.

The studio told Eurogamer: “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla benefits from faster loading times so that players can immerse themselves in history and the world smoothly. […] We can’t wait to see the beautiful world we’re creating in stunning 4K resolution. ”

“Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” is under development for the PC, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 and will be released this year.
