A local tire manufacturer, PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, continues to boost the export market for motorcycle tires abroad. One of them is exporting motorcycle tires to Yamaha Nmax to the Philippines.
PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk Senior Brand Executive & Product Development, Dodiyanto, said that one of the reliable motorcycle tires for the export market is Zeneos Milano. Dodi said, in the Philippines, Zeneos Milano for Yamaha Nmax is quite popular.
“I have seen that Nmax in the Philippines is now a trend setter, many are on the streets. There they have run to premium scooters such as Nmax,” Dodi told reporters.
Zeneos Milano tires are made for aftermarket tires. Previously, this tire was commonly found in Indonesia for Nmax with sizes 120 / 70-13 at the front and 140 / 70-13 rear. That size goes up one size from the default Nmax tires, which measure 110 / 70-13 at the front and 130 / 70-13 at the rear.
The tire size, which is one level up from the tire size of the Nmax manufacturer, is sent to the export market in the Philippines. However, according to Dodi, his party will add new size options for the export market, namely the standard size Nmax 110 / 70-13 at the front and 130 / 70-13 at the back.
“For young people or the community, they really like to upsize tires. However, not everyone wants that, especially for operational motorbikes such as work or college. It turns out that many also want to change new tires, but do not want to change from the original size. We have to accommodate this. Moreover, Indonesian-made tires can be said to dominate the Philippine market, “said Dodi.
“We will present it as a complement to the previous size. We are currently working on the tires develop and the target this year (sold in the Philippines). To be sure, we as a manufacturer also continue to conduct surveys because there are always surveys to listen to consumers’ voices, “he added.
Not only exported to the Philippines, Dodi said Zeneos Milano tires for Nmax with standard manufacturer sizes would also be sold in Indonesia. However, there is no more detailed information about the tires that will be sold in Indonesia.
