The candidates for the different races in the November 2 elections they exercised their right to vote early in the morning. Other officials also shared their experience heading to the polls.

Current Brooklyn President and Democratic candidate for Mayor of New York City Eric Adams went to the polls urging New Yorkers to vote.
“Today I was asked how I voted on today’s ballot initiatives and kept my options to myself, but now I think New Yorkers should know how I feel. It’s too important, ”Adams wrote on his Twitter. “I voted yes to all the election initiatives today and you should too!”

On the other hand, the Republican candidate for Mayor and president of the Guardian Angels, Curtis Sliwa, lHe arrived at the polls in the company of one of his cats wrapped in a blanket. Sliwa also encouraged New Yorkers to vote.
“When I was 20 years old, I started as a night manager at a McDonalds in the Bronx. Now I’m on the ballot for mayor of New York. I never would have thought this was possible, but I came to see that anything is possible in New York City. Let’s keep opportunities open for everyone, ”he wrote on his Twitter.

Mayor Bill de Blasio voted in Park Slope, where he is registered, and highlighted how it is an important decision day for New York City.
“It is Election Day and today New Yorkers will decide the future of our city,” he said.
The New York attorney general also showed her support for the elections and some candidates, such as Democrat Felicia Singh for the City Council.

NEW JERSEY
Gov. Phil Murphy, who is seeking reelection, started on Election Day in Camden and since early in the morning has posted several notices urging people to vote.

For his part, the Republican candidate, Jack Ciatarrelli, closed his campaign in Raritan and urges everyone to vote.
“I closed the campaign in the same place where it all started 22 months ago: my hometown of Raritan. New Jersey is broken, you know it and I know it. But we can fix it, together. Get out there and vote today! ”Said the Republican candidate.
