TOKYO, iNews.id – Nintendo plans to release a new Switch console this year. Nintendo reportedly will embed the latest Switch model with an OLED screen.
News about Nintendo Switch with this OLED screen reported by Bloomberg. The report says Samsung Display will be the provider of the 7-inch 720p OLED screen which will be mass produced this June.
The Nintendo Switch currently has a 6.2-inch 720p LCD panel. While the Switch Lite screen uses a 5.5-inch 720p LCD. Many games on the Switch attempt to reach native resolution in handheld mode.
So the lack of increased resolution should come as no surprise. Reporting from The VergeThursday (4/3/2021), noted that the new Switch model will be able to display 4K graphics when connected to a TV.
