The judicial police (PJ) of Montpellier are in charge of an investigation into the “murder” of a 22-year-old young man in January 2021. The elite Raid service made the arrests today.
Info Objective Gard. Several men were arrested this Tuesday morning, in different districts of the city of Nîmes. They arrested five men, who are currently in custody.
Arrests following the death of a young man on January 19, 2021, in the Vacquerolles district. That evening, in a small street just behind the Intermarché district, the rescue workers discovered this resident of the area killed after a barrage of gunfire. He was shot dead while he was a passenger in a car traveling in the nearby neighborhood of Pissevin. A man had fired at the car in which the victim was. The driver of the targeted vehicle had managed to escape to return to the Vacquerolles district where the death of the “passenger” had been ascertained.
An investigation entrusted to the Montpellier PJ had since been ongoing. It is in the context of this criminal file that the arrests took place on Tuesday morning. The suspects are in custody and are currently being questioned. We do not know for the moment their real implications in this case…
