A new series of farmer seeks wife can certainly not be seen before the summer. A spokesman for KRO-NCRV told NU.nl about this on Tuesday, after NPO boss Frans Klein AD had hinted that the program is not in the preliminary schedule of the public broadcaster.
“As massive as such a program is, we don’t do irresponsible things,” said Klein.
The broadcaster’s spokesman said that farmer seeks wife therefore has been removed from the planning of the spring. A call has already been made to find new farmers for the program.
Whether the program may be on television in the autumn depends entirely on how the situation around the corona virus develops.
At the beginning of 2020, the eleventh season of the dating program was shown, in which farmers search for love. The recordings took place before the COVID-19 outbreak. The reunion episode that was broadcast over Christmas was recorded during the epidemic.
