Nice to watch: The tin wedding of Albert and Charlène

Albert and Charlène met in 2000 during the Monaco Grand Prix. The couple started dating in 2006 and got engaged in 2010.

Exactly 10 years ago, the Monegasque monarch tied the knot with South African swimmer Charlène Wittstock. What was special was that the religious wedding took place outside, in the court of honor of the princely palace. There was room to invite as many as 3500 guests. The then Prince Willem-Alexander and Máxima were also present. The mass was led by Archbishop Bernard Barsi. Then the newlyweds left for a driving tour to Saint Devote church, where Charlene left her bridal bouquet.

Designer Giorgio Armani made the dress for Princess Charlène. It was a very precious piece of clothing: as many as 40,000 Svarovski stones and 30,000 gold stones were pinned on the silk dress. The veil was 20 meters long, made of silk tulle.

In 2014 twins were born: Jacques and Gabriella. We have seen them regularly in photos in recent years when they were out with their parents!

Check out a series of photos from the wedding below. At the top of this article you can watch a nice video with a summary of the wedding day. Can’t get enough? View here Then the entire photo album with dozens of photos from the past 10 years!
