NHL: Several important files would be settled

Several cases have been settled in the last hours in the National Hockey League.

First, there would have been an agreement in principle between the Bettman circuit and the Players’ Association regarding phases 3 and 4 of the return to play protocol, according to Renaud Lavoie.

In addition, the playoffs would ultimately take place in Edmonton and Toronto, two Canadian cities.

Players would also return to the Olympic Games in 2022 and 2026 if there is an agreement with the International Olympic Committee.

The salary cap would be set at $ 81.5 million for the next two campaigns while the money given by players to the NHL (“escrow”) could not exceed 20%.

Louis Jean said for his part that negotiations continue on Wednesday between the two parties in other files such as the new collective agreement.

“I think the finish line is near,” he said on Twitter.

If all goes well, players could vote on all of these points by the weekend.
