In a match with no touchdown and weak offensive lines, rookie Raimann got off to a terrible start. Born in Vienna, he caused three penalty shootouts, but only one had a direct negative impact on disappointing quarterback Matt Ryan’s team. Even a “false start” penalty ultimately had no consequences. Raimann, who improved in the second half, played the entire game for the first time on Matchday 5.
Raimann was introduced to the top tier of the league as a replacement by Matt Pryor at the start of the season, but has not played a role in the past two weeks due to an ankle injury. Pryor moved into the right tackling position against the Broncos, but the changes didn’t help the Colts’ recently weak offensive line.
The Colts benefited mainly from strong defense and kicker Chase McLaughlin, who used all four of his field goals. Stellar quarterback Russell Wilson, like Ryan, threw two interceptions for the Broncos, one of which was just under two minutes left in the game when the Broncos were 9-6 in the Colts end zone. Indianapolis still manages to equalize and then in extra time the decisive field goal from 48 yards.
