Morelia /
On Michoacan, the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) reported that 1,200,000 female and male students will not start the 2021-2022 school year in person.
This is due to the fact that 30 thousand teachers with a state code have not received payment for the first fortnight of August. Therefore, 11 thousand schools in the 113 municipalities of Michoacán will keep their doors closed.
In addition, the state government does not plan for children to return to classrooms, because the covid-19 pandemic is expanding.
Classes will start on August 30 in the online mode, reported the Secretary of Education in Michoacán.
It should be noted that the state is on an orange traffic light, and even the municipalities of Morelia, Uruapan and Lázaro Cárdenas are on a red traffic light.
“There are still no conditions for the return to classrooms in person,” recommended the Ministry of Health in the state.
