The Civil Police made another seizure of electronic cigarettes in Vitória da Conquista this Friday (25). About 100 units of the material were found in a commercial establishment downtown. On Thursday (24), the actions resulted in the seizure of 75 units, valued at R$ 15,000.
During the action, a person was driven, interrogated and will respond freely. The sale, importation and advertising of electronic cigarettes are prohibited by the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
The head of the Police Station for Toxics and Narcotics in Conquista, delegate Neuberto Costa, commented that there is already suspicion of the origin of the material. “The investigations will continue. We suspect that these products come from São Paulo”, he commented.
The action was carried out by teams from the Departments for Repression and Combating Corruption, Organized Crime and Money Laundering (Draco) and Specialized Investigation and Repression of Drug Trafficking (Denarc), through the Drugs and Narcotics Police Station (DTE), in conjunction with the Sanitary Surveillance of the municipality.
