Police suspect that professionals are behind the thefts.

During the night, two Tesla Model S have been stolen from private addresses in Romerike.
This makes the police make a clear appeal to those who own similar cars.
– This indicates that there are professional thieves in the district. Therefore, we ask owners of similar cars to be especially careful now, says operations manager Jon Erik Nygård in the Eastern police district.

The first theft was reported to the police at 03.30 at Frogner. Two hours later, a message came in about a new theft of a similar car at Jessheim.
– Both car owners had the key cards, says operations manager Nygård.
Police do not know what method was used to steal the cars, but suspect that it is the same procedure that they have heard about before.
Not unknown
– We have previously seen that something has been used to pick up signals from the key cards, which have been located right inside the home near the car. We therefore ask everyone to put these further away from the car, says Nygård.
The two Teslas were Model S and a 2018 and 2019 model, respectively.
