News, Crimea | The double death in Lønborg: – The woman lived with an alarm of violence

– Had a violence alarm connected to others. He was not activated and appears to have run out of battery, police lawyer Inger-Lise Høyland tells BA.

Høyland points out that the violence alert the woman had was linked to a named person whose alibi the investigators checked and who could not be near the crime scene that day.

Indeterminate course of events

Police are still keeping all possibilities open, but no one else is a suspect in the case.

It was at 4.10pm on Wednesday that the police arrived Police report of a woman badly injured and bleeding outside an address in Ytre Sandviken.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. Inside an apartment on the spot, police also found a lifeless man in his thirties. Shortly thereafter, both were pronounced dead at Haukeland hospital.

Both deceased had extensive wounds. The police prosecutor declined to comment on the injuries they sustained, or whether any weapons were seized.

Waiting for DNA response

However, BA is aware that the first information that day was that a knife or edged weapon had been used.

A large-scale investigation was launched to find out what happened.

– Relatives have been informed, but formal identification is in the form of DNA and a final answer will likely be available later in the afternoon, says Høyland.

The deceased were autopsied at Gade’s institution on Thursday. Police do not currently want to comment on the cause of death.

– The autopsy gave us several answers, but we can’t rule out any of the hypotheses, says Høyland.

They were lovers

One of the theories of the police was that no one other than the two were involved, but investigators have at the same time kept open the possibility that they may be facing an unknown perpetrator, but so far no one is suspected in the case.

In parallel, the investigators worked on mapping the movements of the deceased before the accident and the network around them.

BA is aware that the deceased have already been in a relationship. There is also information that the police have inside.

– The two of whom a formal identity is expected had a previous relationship. We are investigating the contacts they had up until the time of their deaths, Høyland says.

The man had his residence at another address in the district which the police checked and sealed the door.

The relatives hope that the police investigation can clarify what happened.

– Terribly difficult

Linda Ellefsen Eide is a lawyer assisting one of the woman’s closest relatives.

– A terribly difficult time so close to Christmas. The relatives want peace at this difficult time and for the police investigation to clarify what happened, Ellefsen told BA Eide on Thursday.

The investigation was very extensive. At the crime scene and on the grounds, crime scene technicians worked diligently in the days following the double death.

The police prosecutor says the case will be investigated until Christmas.

– The investigation is in its infancy and there are still many investigative steps to take, says Høyland, and cites witness interviews of acquaintances, forensic investigations, data analysis/mobile communications and video surveillance cameras.

– This needs to be reviewed, so that we can form a picture of their movement pattern before the accident, concludes the police prosecutor.
