New York Police Investigates Bomb Threats to Synagogues Amid Anti-Semitic Incidents

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is investigating bomb threats sent by email to synagogues throughout the Big Applealthough the messages could be false or a hoax, authorities reported.

“The NYPD is aware of and actively investigating a series of emails that have been sent to synagogues in the city indicating possible bomb threats. “We will continue to work hand-in-hand with our law enforcement partners, places of worship, and community leaders to keep New York City safe,” the statement said.

“We ask all New Yorkers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. If you see something, report it by calling 9-1-1 or 1-888-NYC-SAFE.”

The synagogue Beth Jacob Ohev Shalom in Williamsburg is among places believed to have received bomb threatreported Daily News.
