New York – Oil ends week on a rebound with a barrel trading at $ 63.58

Friday May 21, 2021 ((rezonodwes.com)) – Oil prices rebounded on Friday after three sessions of decline in a market weighted down by bearish factors on both the supply and demand sides.

A barrel of North Sea Brent for July delivery ended at $ 66.44 in London, up 2.04% from Thursday’s close.

In New York, a barrel of WTI for the same month, of which it was the first day of use as a benchmark contract, gained 2.65% to 63.58 dollars.

From Monday to Friday, however, Brent and WTI lost about 3% each.

The week began sharply on the rise for crude, with the two benchmark contracts crossing the threshold of $ 70 and $ 67 respectively on Tuesday, a first since early March, before falling sharply on Wednesday and Thursday.
