New York among cities with the most bed bugs in homes and businesses – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORKNew York ranks second among cities nationwide with the highest number of bed bug cases, according to List of Orkin companies.

First place, for the third consecutive year, went to Chicago.

The numbers are provided by sbed bug treatment services from 1 December 2021 to 30 November 2022. This includes both residential and commercial sites.

Bed bugs are 3/16 inches long, red or dark brown, and are almost always nocturnal insects that emerge from their burrow to suck the blood of humans. These parasites are blood sucking, which means that blood is their only food source.
