A new species of anaconda, measuring about 6.1 meters long and weighing about 200 kilograms, has been discovered in the Amazon rainforest region of Ecuador, South America.
Reuters reported on the 29th of last month that a new species of green anaconda was recently discovered in Ecuador, and the results were published in the scientific journal Diversity.
Until now, only one species of green anaconda, known by its scientific name Eunectes murinus, was thought to exist in the wild. However, this time, another species of green anaconda, scientifically named “Eunectes Akiyama,” has been confirmed. This green anaconda is approximately 6.1 meters long and weighs up to 200 kilograms.
