Sonos, a specialist in wireless speakers, launched its latest products on Wednesday. In addition to refreshing the Sonos 5 and the subwoofer, a completely redesigned successor to the Sonos Beam was also presented. The soundbar is called Arc and tries to make home theater sound possible without additional speakers. For example, an explosion in the room is reproduced as accurately as possible by reproducing the bang on the correct side and at the same time being extinguished by phase-shifted signals on the other side. Eleven drivers are installed, two of which face upwards to make the sound even more plastic with Dolby Atmos. The Arc reverses the design of the beam, it is round at the front and straight on the sides. The colors available are white and black. The price of the Arc is 899 euros, the release date is June 10th.
Sonos has modernized its largest loudspeaker, the Play: 5, with new technology and renamed it Five. Unlike the Arc, there is no longer an assistant on board. The Sonos Sub has also been subtly renewed. All speakers are checked with the new Sonos App S2, which will be available in June.
