New singer Karlīna – Music – Apollo.lv – Entertainment with a song in Latvian in the field of local pop music

The authors of the song are Katō (Anna Zankovska), Arnis Račinskis (“Time Dog”) and Jānis Driksna, the song’s producer is Arnis Račinskis. The song was made at the songwriting camp “RIGaLIVE # 4” of the spring session of 2019.

“A song is a story about love. It tells about the fact that at other times in life it happens that one loves more and one also hurts more, but you have to know when to let go and smile to go further,” says Karlina about the song’s message. “The first time I heard the song demo, I was attracted by the song’s story, it was important for me to maintain my self-confidence and ease in this piece, and I can see that I have succeeded by listening and watching the video.”

“When we wrote the song with Katō and Jānis Driksna in the early spring, we didn’t know Karlina yet, but since we know her, it’s clear that everyone will need to get to know Karlina,” its producer Račinskis.

The basic idea of the song’s video came from Oscar Anderson, who spoke about the game of black and white background. This idea was further developed by the singer’s sister Edīte Šēnknehte, who directed the clip. The video is a story about two worlds, symbolically, about a man and a woman and how we each see ourselves and the other when the relationship is over. The video was filmed in Robert Schultz’s photo studio.

Some time ago, the artist released her first original song “It’s Getting Cold”, with which she took part in Radio SWH’s new artist competition “Hallway”, where she convincingly won first place.
