People and royalty

The Troubled Prince, a documentary broadcast on Channel 5, returns to this little-known episode in the life of the Duke of Sussex.

He still proves it today: Harry is still the rebel of the British royal family. But his worst escapades still seem behind him. Prince Harry : The Troubled Prince, a recent docu, plunges back into the most rock’n’roll sides of Brother William’s life.

We learn in particular that Prince Charles, making a blood of ink for his son, forced him to go through the rehab box. At 16, Harry would much prefer the festive atmosphere of pubs to that, more gloomy, of school benches. A penchant for drinking that could have endangered the home straight of high school. In 2002, the Prince of Wales will therefore take him to Featherstone Lodge, an establishment in the London suburbs. There, he hopes that the experiences of drug addicts will give him the effect of an electric shock. If this experience opened his mind, it was above all the army – he began his training at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst three years later – which made Harry a new man.
