There is one more positive case to report in Madeira. This is a traveler (non-resident) who arrived from Switzerland and was tested in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at Madeira Airport. The woman, whose age is between 20-29 years, is recovering in Funchal and is the 54th imported case.
According to IASaúde, during this Thursday two situations were still identified that are being studied by health authorities. They are two travelers and the epidemiological investigation, as well as laboratory analyzes are ongoing.
In summary, the Region has recorded 106 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus to date, of which 97 are considered recovered cases and nine are active cases.
These nine active cases consist of six imported cases identified in the context of the surveillance activities implemented at the Madeira Airport Screening Unit and the remaining (3) are cases of local transmission. Seven people are in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit and two others remain in isolation in their respective home.

12,936 people are being followed
To date, 12,936 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the various counties in the Region using the ‘Madeira Safe To Discover’ application, of which 5,510 of these people are under active surveillance.
Contacts for the SRS24 Line now total 10,205 calls, plus 57 calls in the last 24 hours. The total number of visits by the psychological monitoring line of IASaúde is now 1,771.
