New options for timed messages on WhatsApp

WhatsApp’s timed messages feature was launched a while ago. Users can send timed messages via WhatsApp by activating the timed messages feature.

When this feature is enabled, new messages sent in chat disappear after seven days. Messages sent or received before timed messages were enabled were not affected by this selection.

According to Haber Global, WhatsApp is preparing to add new options to the 7-day deletion period.

According to the change that WABetaInfo discovered in the beta 2.21.200.11 version of WhatsApp, the duration option increases to 3.

Accordingly, users will be able to choose between 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days when sending timed messages.

The feature is still in testing and it is not known when it will be available to all users.

HOW TO ENABLE TIMED MESSAGE?

In an individual chat, both users can enable timed messages. When this feature is enabled, messages in the chat disappear after seven days.

1- Open WhatsApp chat.

2- Tap the contact’s name.

3- Tap Timed messages.

4- Tap CONTINUE if prompted.

5- Select On.

HOW TO DISABLE TIMED MESSAGES?

Both users can disable timed messages at any time. When this feature is disabled, messages sent in the chat are no longer lost.

1- Open WhatsApp chat.

2- Tap the contact’s name.

3- Tap Timed messages.

4- Tap CONTINUE if prompted.

5- Select Off.
