Capcom and Oculus Studios reveal details and new video for Resident Evil 4 VR

Capcom and developers Oculus Studios and Armature Studio released new details and a new Resident Evil 4 video for Oculus Quest 2, which was recently announced and will be launched at the end of 2021.

According to what has been released, the game will have touch controls that allow the player to interact with the world in a different way than what occurs on consoles. Weapons and items have been redesigned as physical items that you can pick up and interact with. It will be possible to switch weapons by taking them directly from your body instead of going through the menu, and you will also be able to use separate weapons in each hand.

You will move in the first person using the analog stick, but changes have been added to Leon to make his body match the two-hand interactivity movement on the Oculus Quest 2 controls, allowing you to explore the scenarios however you want. Sitting play is also an option that will be available.

The core of Resident Evil 4’s gameplay and systems will remain intact, but the game’s art has been remastered, with more than 4,500 textures having been repainted or increased in resolution. The animations have been converted to Unreal Engine 4 and are the same as they were in the original game. In addition, all cutscenes will be shown in their original format.
