Director Jonathan Entwistle is working on a new one Power Rangersfilm and series, reported The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday. The superheroes, best known from the hit 1990s TV series, will be getting a makeover.
Toy manufacturer Hasbro is executing a detailed plan in collaboration with film company eOne and under the direction of Entwistle. The manufacturer hopes to put the characters on the map with the current generation with a film and series.
Released in 2017 Power Rangersmovie was a flop, but Hasbro is very confident about the director’s adaptation. “Jonathan has a great vision for this iconic and hugely successful franchise. He is the right man to bring this series to life,” said an eOne spokesperson.
Entwistle has previously produced the Netflix series The End of the F***ing World and co-creator of the series I Am Not Okay With This. When the next Power Rangersproject has not yet been announced.
