New Jersey is the ‘most hated’ state in the country according to a study – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW JERSEY – The Garden state has been honored as the “most hated” state in all of America, a newly published study found.

The report, carried out by the tabloid Best Life, used a number of factors, such as data from the US Census Bureau, to determine state rankings, including population increases or decreases.

However, the study also used data from a Gallup poll where citizens in each state were asked if they were proud of their home states, at which time 68% of New Jersey residents answered yes.

In the end, the analysts used a set of algorithms to produce the final score, called “Hate Rate”, detailing that as the hate rate a state receives increases, that means that it is more hated.

Anyway, the report also found that New Jersey is hated by both states of the tri-state area, New York and Connecticut whose population is 35,820,837, that is, the study indicated that supposedly 35,820,837 people hate the Garden State.

For its part, New York ranked # 11 with 41% of its residents showing pride in being a part of that state and being hated solely by the state of Massachusetts.

Likewise, Connecticut was ranked # 22 where 31% of its residents showed pride in their state but no other state showed hatred against it.

As for the full list, here are the top 10 states that qualified for the prestigious list:

  1. New Jersey
  2. Texas
  3. California
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Florida
  6. Michigan
  7. Kentucky
  8. Indiana
  9. Alabama
  10. Kansas

On the other hand, the report was not very funny to the Twitter account of the Garden State, tweeting:

“We don’t want you either”, the government tweeted on Friday.

The study may have surprised some, but earlier in 2015, a study by YouGov It also found that New Jersey is the only state in the country that people tend to have a negative opinion of, with 40% of those surveyed viewing the state negatively.
