In the new movie “Immenhof – The Great Promise” Leia Holtwick plays the girl Lou again. A stallion is in danger at Immenhof.

A promise is a promise and will not be broken! You probably know this saying. Anyone who says it to another person is actually pretty serious about something. But what if you don’t really know how to keep the promise?
Lou has to face this problem in the new film “Immenhof – The Great Promise”. It hits theaters on May 26, 2022. Lou’s promise isn’t meant for a human, but for a racehorse that needs her help.
It’s about the stallion Cagliostro. It actually belongs to the nasty neighbor Jochen Mallinckroth. But after a stranger tries to poison the horse, it comes to the Immenhof to the sisters Lou and Emmie.
Protection from a poison attack
The sisters now have to watch as their beloved farm is equipped with cameras and alarm systems. Because they are supposed to protect the valuable racehorse Cagliostro from another poison attack.
However, it quickly becomes clear that these measures are of no use. Jochen Mallinckroth doesn’t seem to care. He still wants to send his racehorse to an important competition. So Lou decides to flee with Cagliostro. And she promises him that the stallion will never have to take part in a horse race again.
Lou and Cagliostro start an adventurous journey. This leads them, among other things, to Lou’s old friend Cal. However, the girl and the horse cannot hide there forever. Because there will be a search for them soon. And it’s still unclear who wants to harm Cagliostro.
A successful track and field athlete
Lou is played by Leia Holtwick in the movie. At first it didn’t look as if the 20-year-old would become an actress. In her youth, Leia was much more interested in sports. She successfully took part in athletics competitions and even won many prizes.
She got the lead role of Lou by accident. In 2019, the first part of the Immenhof film series was shown in cinemas. It was called “Immenhof – The Adventure of a Summer”. Back then, too, Leia Holtwick expected an exciting adventure as Lou. It was about saving the Immenhof from closure.
However, the story about the Immenhof 2019 was not entirely new. It was actually just a remake. And so it is with the second part, which starts tomorrow. The Immenhof films have already been seen in cinemas. But that was a long time ago. The idea for the series came from the novel “Dick and Dalli und die Ponies” by the author Ursula Bruns, who was a big horse fan herself.
