New Features in WhatsApp: High-Resolution Photos, Quick Notes, Message Editing, and More

Ammon – Everyone agrees that the “WhatsApp” application has become indispensable in our daily lives, as it is one of the most popular messaging applications around the world, with more than two billion users.

The “Meta” company that owns “WhatsApp” is constantly seeking to introduce updates to the application that provide attractive features for users to make the user experience more enjoyable, including:

1- Send high-resolution photos
In order to obtain the new feature, the “WhatsApp” application must be updated, after which the user will automatically see the HD button next to the options for editing the image before sending it to someone else.

Once you click on this option, the user will be able to specify the resolution of the sent image through two options.

When the recipient receives the photo that was sent to him from someone, it will appear to him in the left corner that it was sent to him in HD quality.

2- Send Video – Quick Notes
All that WhatsApp users need is to press the “Voice Messages” button once, to turn it into “Short Video Messages.” After that, the clip can be recorded for a period not exceeding 60 seconds.
It is noteworthy that the video, which is being recorded, cannot be modified or re-sent again, which makes it “exclusive” for the addressee.

3- Modifying sent messages within 15 minutes
This is done within 15 minutes of sending the message, just tap and hold on that message for a while and then select the ‘Edit’ option from the menu,” Meta said.

4- Hide and lock the content of chats
You can lock a chat by clicking on the name of the person or group, and selecting “Lock”.
To reveal these chats, swipe slowly to your inbox, and enter your phone’s password.

5- Mute the ringing of calls from unknown numbers
You can benefit from the service by following the following steps:
Open the WhatsApp application on Android, iPhone or other platforms.
– Head to the “Settings” menu.
On Android, tap the three-dot menu icon on the top right to access the Settings menu.
Meanwhile, on iOS, you need to tap the Settings icon on the bottom left corner.
Now, click on “Privacy”.
Click on Calls, then select Silence Unknown Callers.
