The meeting, convened by the Minister for Regional Affairs Francesco Boccia, is also attended by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and the representatives of Anci and Upi. Among the governors are present Fontana, Bonaccini, Toti, De Luca, Marsilio, Toma and Spirlì. One of the most discussed measures is the automatic transition to the pink zone of the Regions that have a high incidence of coronavirus infections equal to 250 cases per 100,000 inhabitants per week. The regions are against it. The government, meanwhile, is evaluating the extension, to April 30, of the state of emergency expiring at the end of January, even if the new date is still being discussed. According to government sources, the new dpcm “It will be accompanied by new refreshments”, while it will be extended la ‘Bonafede law’ on the prohibition of travel between Regions even in the yellow areas. The government is also still studying the criteria for defining the ‘white zone’, the one that in the event of a low Rt would allow a substantial return to normality. There will be a squeeze on nightlife, with a ban on takeaway for bars after 6pm. Among the rules to be included in the provision, also the extension of the rule on private visits for only two people, but excluding those under 14. The ski lifts of the ski slopes will still remain closed. Any dates and terms for the reopening of gyms and swimming pools remain to be defined. Doors still closed for cinemas and theaters. The museums, on the other hand, could reopen, but only in the yellow regions.

Back to colored zoning. Calabria, Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, Sicily and Veneto go in the orange band, all others in the yellow zone. The ban on travel between regions and the ban on going out at night between 10pm and 5am is valid everywhere. From January 16, a new Dpcm will come into force under the government’s scrutiny.
