New corruption scandal port of Rotterdam | Interior

The National Criminal Investigation Service brought the arrest outside on Tuesday morning. The Rotterdam citizen is suspected of money laundering and corruption. Investigation sources report that the woman was monitored for months because she would provide hand and spanner services to drusg criminals and would also maintain contact with corrupt port workers. The OM does not want to say anything about the investigation.

No contact

The female customs officer had already been made inactive by her employer. The police previously searched the woman’s house. At that time, administration, money and data carriers were seized. The woman is trapped under complete limitations. She is not allowed to have contact with the outside world.

There are major concerns within customs about the increasing smuggling of cocaine via the port of Rotterdam. The customs officers are said to be understaffed and fear violent confrontations with criminals in the port. In the past week alone, six ‘pickers’ were caught in the port. They remove cocaine from the port area for criminal organizations.

Uithalers

The increased activity may be related to recent arrests. Investigations and arrests of key figures have made it more difficult to get cocaine safe from the port and criminals send panic takers into the port.

At the beginning of this month, a 55-year-old employee from the ECT terminal was arrested. This well-known Dutch-Surinamese boxer Stanley W. from Ridderkerk was arrested with two eviscerators that he would have helped to enter the site. W. from Ridderkerk is no longer stuck. The port company ECT does not want to say whether W. has been fired. “We always take appropriate action in this type of incident,” says a company spokesperson.

2000 pounds in a month

Last year four customs officers were also arrested in Rotterdam for corruption. A few years ago, two major corruption offices played around customs officers Gertie V. and Gerrit G. This year, several large parties of coke were seized in the port of Rotterdam. Almost 2,000 pounds have been intercepted this month alone.
