PVV leader Geert Wilders does not have a good word for Hubert Bruls, the mayor of Nijmegen. The latter advises people to stay away from sex positions in his municipality, because aggressive young people are messing up there. The opposition leader strongly resents the CDA member.
The Waalstrandjes in Nijmegen are off-limits for “people of good will”. At least, that is the wish of CDA mayor Hubert Bruls. He finds: “I say to people of good will: be sensible, don’t go to those beaches for the time being. Find another spot. Especially in the evenings. ” The mayor, who chairs an ultra-left college of GroenLinks, D66 and SP, can count on strong criticism from the opposition of his own city council.
But also in the House of Representatives, the larmoyant behavior, in which the Waalstrandjes are more or less given up as the place where the law is enforced, gets a lot of criticism. PVV leader Geert Wilders is the main critic. After all, he still had a little bit to do with the Christian Democratic citizen’s father. The opposition leader leaves on social media know:
“Mayor Bruls (CDA) has lost authority over parts of Nijmegen. The man has never had authority. In 2014 this sickly PVV hater headed a witch hunt and led the way in a procession of Arabs to report to me. Disgusting man. ”
“Less, less,” Wilders says. A foreman of a local political party in the Nijmegen city council keeps it a bit more businesslike: “Just go maintain or close the beach.”
Next week, councilors will debate with Bruls about the ruling. However, the Christian Democrat does not wish to respond to Wilders.
