“We were inspired by their bold mission to set a new standard for storytelling in games. Their commitment to artistic excellence and successful track record make them strong partners in creating new creative resources and the Netflix game library,” wrote Mike Verdu, vice president of game development at Netflix streaming platform.

The head of Netflix added that the service will continue to work with developers around the world. Night School Studios, meanwhile, said they wanted to broaden their narrative and aspirations with original games. For the developer’s founders, the exploration of gameplay narrative and Netflix’s history with the diversity of storytellers formed a “natural pair”.

“And, of course, it’s surreal to have the honor of being the first game studio to join Netflix! Not only will we continue to do what we already do, as we like to do it, but we will have a front row seat on the world’s largest entertainment platform,” said Sean Krankel.
