Samir Salah, the agent of Ahmed Fattouh, the star of Zamalek, spoke about the latest developments in the negotiations between White Club officials and the player to renew his contract.
Fattouh’s contract with Zamalek expires at the end of the current season. Which means he can sign for any club next January.
Fattouh has an offer from Al-Ahly, Zamalek’s traditional rivals, according to previous media reports.
Samir Salah said, in television statements: “I manage all of Fattouh’s work, and Ahmed Yahya is his official agent, and Zamalek is currently unstable, and everyone who speaks with the player in the current period is bringing the matter closer between us and the Zamalek club.”
He added: “The issue is close between us and Zamalek, but it will not be resolved until after the election of a stable board of directors. We sat with Abdel Wahed El-Sayed twice and things are close, and I promise that within 20 or 25 days, the matter will be resolved.”
He continued: “Ahmed Fattouh, the son of the Zamalek club, and his best be upon us, and he is very close to renewal. He is like everything agreed upon, waiting for the new board of directors that will come and give him all his dues. By God, there are no negotiations from the Al-Ahly club, and everything that is said is completely incorrect jurisprudence.”
He stressed: “Ahmed Fattouh feels comfortable in Zamalek and will play 95% in Egypt unless he receives a European professional offer. Otherwise, he will not play in Egypt other than for Zamalek. Currently, there are no professional offers. The player had previously received an external offer from the Dutch Ajax Amsterdam, but The sums that Zamalek was requesting were large, so things did not happen.”
It is noteworthy that the player is currently with the Egyptian national team in the UAE camp, in preparation for the friendly matches against Zambia and Algeria.
Fattouh has been playing with Zamalek’s first team since its promotion for the first time in 2016, and during that period he went out on loan to Enppi and Smouha.
The 25-year-old participated in 129 matches for Zamalek, during which he scored 5 goals and assisted 11 others.
