During his recent show on the site Giant Bomb (for premium users) Jeff Grubb, a VentureBeat journalist and well-known industry whistleblower, said (via VGC):
New Need for Speed it will premiere later this year … it’s true, yeah the game should be out in November. If you’re a fan of the series who has bought a new console, then we have good news for you: the title is only for the current generation.
Moreover, Grubb believes that the game may be set in Miami.
Originally mentioned version Need for Speed – for which the Criterion Games studio is responsible (creators of, among others Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit) – was supposed to debut before the end of this year’s March (via Polygon).
Unfortunately, twelve months before the deadline, the band stayed posted to help with the game Battlefield 2042. This resulted in a temporary stoppage of work on the new one NFS-em.
After the premiere of the aforementioned FPS, Criterion again began to actively create the next part of the well-known series of “racing”. Hopefully, thanks to the studio experience, the series returns with its well-deserved glory.
In the words of Grubb, new NFS will be released on PCs and Xbox Series X / S and PS5 consoles. The official release date remains a mystery – but that should change at the latest in June or July if the game is actually going to make its debut this fall.
