Current average exchange rates of foreign currencies in PLN as defined in § 2 points 1 and 2 of Resolution No. 51/2002 of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland of September 23, 2002 regarding the method of calculating and announcing current exchange rates of foreign currency (Official Journal of the National Bank of Poland of 2017 item 15):

He ended the Thursday euro session around 4.453 PLN, after considerable fluctuations to which the exchange rate was subjected during the day. The intensification of risk aversion was related to information reaching the market undermining hopes for a quick return of the global economy to its pre-epidemic status despite support for the possibility of a V-shaped rebound in recent macroeconomic readings.

Fears have intensified, among others IMF forecasts, which not only lowered it for this year, but also announced that it is expecting more serious negative effects of the pandemic than assumed in April. Moods were additionally weakened by the information that Washington is considering changing tariffs on a number of European goods in the dispute over aircraft (worth $ 3.1 billion).
