NBA: 76ers are in quarantine in New York after Seth Curry’s positive diagnosis

NEW YORK – The Philadelphia 76ers have quarantined themselves in New York City due to Guard Seth Curry’s positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

A source familiar with the situation said the Sixers stayed at the hotel last night after learning that Curry was diagnosed with coronavirus positive during Thursday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

This person requested anonymity to speak with The Associated Press since the team did not disclose Curry’s condition. She added that Curry was so far the only Sixers player to have received a positive diagnosis.

Curry was absent from Thursday’s game with a left ankle injury, and he wore a mask while on the bench for the Sixers for the first half of the game. Curry had six three-pointers and scored 28 points Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.

The Sixers are scheduled to face the Denver Nuggets in Philadelphia on Saturday.
