Naya Rivera is now buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park cemetery in Los Angeles. The actress of Glee was buried on July 24, as indicated in his death certificate published by
People.
The 33-year-old actress drowned while on a boat trip with her four-year-old son on July 8. Little Josey Dorsey had been discovered alone on board the rental boat. The boy, who was wearing a life jacket, had explained that he got back on the boat after going swimming, but not his mother. An adult size life jacket was found on board. Naya Rivera’s body was recovered after five days of searching Lake Piru, California.
Relatives still in shock
Besides his on-screen partners like Heather Morris, Amber Riley and Chris Colfer, his former companions have testified to their grief. Her ex-fiancé, rapper Big Sean said he was “still in shock” in a publicaiton on Instagram. “I appreciate and cherish everything that has happened between us, for making me wiser and for making me a better person,” the 32-year-old singer continued.
Ryan Dorsey, her ex-husband and father of their 4 year old son Josey, broke the silence on Instagram “This is so unfair… There are no words to express the gaping hole in our hearts. I can’t believe this is my life now. And I don’t know if I’ll ever believe it. The day before, we were still swimming together with Josey. Life is really unfair, “her ex-husband wrote from 2014 to 2018.” I am grateful for the times we shared and the journey we have come together, which has given us the smartest little boy and adorable you could hope for. I remember sometimes you got mad at me: “Ryan, can you stop with Snapchat!” Ha ha. I’m glad I didn’t listen to you, because I have hundreds and probably thousands of photos and videos that Josey will know that his mom loved him more than life, and how much fun we had together as he grew up, ”he added. “He will never forget where he came from. We miss you. We will always love you. I love you ”, moved Josey’s dad.
His sister, Nickayla, also paid tribute to him on Instagram. “My sister, there are no words to describe my love for you. Side by side or miles away, our connection is endless. Our bond is indestructible. We were completely opposed, yet simultaneously the same. The ying of my yang. I would never have known that by losing you I would find so much of you in me. I’ve never known a life without you in it and I still can’t imagine it. My world is turned upside down. But through it all, all that we were, we remain so. I will always look at you with the same gaze I had when I was young. My shmaya, I will love you for all eternity and I miss you every second of my life, ”she wrote.
A dangerous area
On the death certificate, it is written that Naya Rivera died by “drowning” and after “several minutes”. No illness was noted during the autopsy.
Lake Piru is a popular place for tourists, but it is not without its dangers. Several people have already drowned there, mainly because of the strong currents. A
petition was launched by locals asking for warning signs to be put up to warn bathers.
